Copenhagen Coffee Lab is an international bakery and café chain with 46 locations across Denmark, Portugal, France, and Germany. With a strong focus on quality coffee, fresh bakery goods, and a cozy café atmosphere, they needed a flexible way to present menus that matched their concept and enhanced the guest experience.

The Challenge

As a combination of bakery and café, Copenhagen Coffee Lab has never wanted traditional printed menus. Instead, they encourage guests to order directly at the bar. However, this setup created two challenges:

  • Guests waiting in line lacked a clear overview of the menu and à la carte brunch dishes.
  • Previous attempts with QR codes and digital menus didn’t work well in practice, leading to inefficiencies.

The chain needed a solution that was simple, flexible, and visually appealing, while also making it easy for guests to orient themselves before ordering.

The Solution: Q-Play Digital Signage

With Q-Play, Copenhagen Coffee Lab gained a powerful and user-friendly platform for digital signage:

  • Digital menu’s: Screen placed behind the bar now display menus, seasonal drinks, and images of food.
  • Improved customer flow: Guests can browse options while waiting, making ordering faster and smoother.
  • Scalability across markets: The plan is to roll out 2–3 digital screens in all 46 cafés to fully utilize Q-Play’s potential.
